The best CRMs for venture capital in 2026

Seven tools for two buyers who never meet: the fund choosing a system of record, and the partner or founder who just needs their own network searchable.

By Jerry Feng, Growth at Happenstance. Updated August 28, 2026.

The short version

The best CRM for venture capital in 2026 is Affinity if you are the fund, at $2,000 to $2,700 per user per year, with 4Degrees for private-market deal teams and Intapp DealCloud for firms running several mandates, neither of which publishes a price. If you're one partner, one angel or a founder, none of those is sold to you: Attio is the cheapest way in at free for three seats, Visible handles investor updates from $0, and Happenstance searches your own network free. A partnership can pool its networks in a free group without buying a seat.

The short list

A venture fund choosing a system of record: Affinity.

Private-market deal teams beyond venture: 4Degrees.

A firm running several mandates on one platform: Intapp DealCloud.

A small or new fund that wants a published price: Attio.

A founder managing investor updates and a raise: Visible.

An emerging manager who needs fund operations too: Decile Hub.

One partner, one angel or one founder searching their own network: Happenstance.

What a fund is buying, in four questions

Who signs? If it's the firm, expect a demo, an implementation and a seat count. If it's you, expect a card form and a free tier. Nothing in this category straddles the two, which is why the price ranges look absurd side by side: $0 to $2,700 per person per year for tools that all describe themselves as relationship management.

Where does the relationship data come from? The firm-wide products capture every partner's work email and calendar into one permissioned graph. DealCloud describes it as automatically creating and maintaining records discovered through the firm's email communications, with zero-entry activity capture. That is powerful, and it's work email only: your personal accounts, the LinkedIn connections you made before the fund and the founders you follow aren't in it.

Is there a price at all? Of the six competitors here, Affinity and Attio publish a full price, Visible publishes the founder side only, and 4Degrees, DealCloud and Decile Hub publish nothing. That tells you what buying will be like.

Whose network is it when someone leaves? A firm-wide graph belongs to the firm, which is the point of it. A partner's own connections predated the fund and will outlast it, and most firms have no system for those at all.

The three CRMs a fund would buy

Affinity: the default, and the only published seat price

Best for
A venture fund choosing the platform its deal process will live in.
Where it wins
Incumbency and clarity. Affinity captures every teammate's email and calendar into one permissioned firm graph, scores relationship strength, surfaces introduction paths and runs the deal pipeline with enrichment from Crunchbase, PitchBook and Dealroom. It's also the only firm-wide product in this category that prints a number: $2,000, $2,300 and $2,700 per user per year.
What you give up
Everything about being a person. No free tier, no self-serve signup, and the first-party signal is work email and calendar, so a partner's personal LinkedIn, social and pre-fund relationships are not in the model. It's an implementation, and its value arrives when the whole firm adopts it.
Price
Essential $2,000, Scale $2,300, Advanced $2,700 per user per year, billed annually; no free tierChecked August 2026
Consider it only if
the firm is the buyer and the deal flow justifies a per-seat annual price with a rollout attached.

4Degrees: best for private-market deal teams beyond venture

Best for
VC, private equity, investment banking and commercial real estate teams that want relationship scoring inside the CRM.
Where it wins
Scope. The same firm-graph model as Affinity, applied across private markets rather than venture alone, built on relationship scoring from the firm's email and calendar plus external enrichment. Its audience is venture, private equity, investment banking, corporate development and commercial real estate, so for a team whose deal flow crosses asset classes, that breadth is the reason to look.
What you give up
Any way to cost it without a call. Its pricing page states a per-user per-month model and no figure; the exact price depends on your organization. No free tier, no individual plan.
Price
Not published. 4degrees.ai states a per-user per-month model and no figureChecked August 2026
Consider it only if
your deal flow is not only venture and you want one relationship graph across all of it.

Intapp DealCloud: best for firms running several mandates

Best for
Private capital, investment banking and advisory firms that want one configurable platform.
Where it wins
Depth of configuration and relationship intelligence. It automatically creates and maintains company and person records discovered through the firm's email communications, centralizes interactions with zero-entry activity capture, and generates relationship strength scores. It's preconfigured for private capital, banking, legal and advisory rather than for venture alone.
What you give up
Self-service, and any published number. There's no pricing page on dealcloud.com or intapp.com, no free tier and no trial; every route is a demo request.
Price
Not published; every route is a demo requestChecked August 2026
Consider it only if
the firm runs more than one mandate and wants the deal system and the relationship system to be the same system.

The lighter end

Attio: best for a fund that wants a price on the page

Best for
A small or new fund that needs a pipeline without an implementation.
Where it wins
Self-serve, with a real free tier: free for up to three seats, then $35 per user per month billed annually or $44 month to month, and Pro at $79 or $99. For a two-partner fund that is a working pipeline for nothing, and the upgrade path is a card rather than a procurement cycle.
What you give up
Venture specificity. Attio is a general CRM, so the fund-shaped parts, the enrichment sources, the relationship scoring across a partnership, the LP side, are things you assemble rather than things you buy.
Price
Free up to 3 seats; Plus $35 per user a month billed annually, $44 monthly; Pro $79 or $99Checked August 2026
Consider it only if
the fund is small, the process is simple, and you'd rather start free than start with a demo.

Decile Hub: best for fund operations, if you can get in

Best for
An emerging manager who needs capital calls, LP portal and back office as much as a CRM.
Where it wins
Coverage of the parts a CRM ignores. Its published modules are data rooms, digital signing, CRM, accounting, reporting, legal, fundraising, networking, surveys, events and an AI co-pilot, with an activity feed that shows the full history with an LP or a deal. For a small team running a whole fund, that breadth is the pitch.
What you give up
Both transparency and access. There's no pricing page; the calls to action are an application and a waiting list.
Price
Not published. Access is by application or waiting listChecked August 2026
Consider it only if
you're raising a first or second small fund and the operations burden is heavier than the pipeline.

The other side of the table

Visible: best for founders managing investors

Best for
A founder sending updates, running a raise and tracking a pipeline of investors.
Where it wins
It is the only product here that publishes a full ladder for the person who is not the fund. Starter is free: monthly updates to 100 investors, KPI dashboards, two pitch decks, two pipelines and access to its investor database. Base is $59 a month billed annually, Core $129 and Growth $199, each raising the update list and the data-room allowance.
What you give up
Symmetry, and any network graph. Every investor-side plan says contact us for pricing, so the fund buying it gets a call while the founder gets a checkout. Its investor database is a directory you search, not a map of who you know, so it will not tell you which partner you already have a path to.
Price
Founders: Starter $0; Base $59 a month billed annually, $69 monthly; Core $129 or $149; Growth $199 or $249. Investor plans: contact for pricingChecked August 2026
Consider it only if
you are the founder, the update cadence is the problem, and the fundraise needs a pipeline to live in.

Where Happenstance fits

Happenstance: the individual's layer under all of this

Best for
One partner, one angel or one founder who wants their own network searchable, and partnerships that want to pool without buying seats.
Where it wins
It's the only tool here an individual can have working today for nothing. Connect Gmail, Outlook, Google Calendar, Google Contacts, LinkedIn, Twitter and Instagram, then ask who do I know at this company, or which of my connections have raised a seed round this year. A partnership can pool its networks in a free group and see which partner holds each relationship, and the largest groups make 380,000+ people searchable.
Pair it with
Affinity or 4Degrees, if the firm needs a system of record with a pipeline and LP reporting. Happenstance is the search layer beside it.
Price
Free, and the free plan is the whole product with usage limits on chat and on web searches beyond your network. Pro $30 per month, $24 per month billed yearlyChecked August 2026
Choose it if
the buyer is a person rather than a firm, or the firm wants to know whether pooled network search is worth paying for before it pays for anything. 500,000+ people use it, and nothing about it waits on the firm.

The mechanics of running it beside a fund CRM are on the venture product page.

Which one, by who you are

Managing partner at a fund with a team: Affinity, unless your deal flow crosses asset classes, in which case look at 4Degrees and DealCloud too, and budget time for two demos because neither will quote you before one.

Solo GP or a two-person fund: Attio for the pipeline at free for three seats, plus a Happenstance group so both partners' networks are searchable as one. None of that costs anything.

Angel investing on the side: nothing on the fund list is sold to you. Happenstance for finding founders and paths, and a spreadsheet for the check sizes.

Founder raising a round: Visible for the updates and the pipeline, Happenstance for working out which partner at each fund you already have a path to. Happenstance for fundraising has the detail.

Platform or talent partner: your job is introductions, so read the best warm introduction software instead.

What Happenstance reads from a partner's accounts

Email is read as headers only. Message content and attachments never reach our servers. Yes. Your connections are searchable only by you, the friends you accept, and the groups you join, and sharing is always mutual. Your public profile shows a constellation of named people you know by default, which you can turn off anytime. We never share, sell, or use your data to train AI models. Happenstance is SOC 2 certified and DTI Trust Level 2; the full list of what is stored and for how long is on the security page.

Frequently asked questions

Choosing one

What's the best CRM for venture capital?

For a fund choosing a system of record, Affinity: it's the incumbent, it publishes per-seat prices, and it captures the whole firm's email and calendar into one permissioned graph. 4Degrees is the alternative aimed at private-market deal teams and Intapp DealCloud at firms running several mandates. For an individual partner or a founder, none of the three is sold to you, so the answer is a lighter tool.

Is there a free CRM for venture capital?

Not among the systems of record. Affinity, 4Degrees and DealCloud have no free tier and no self-serve signup. Attio is free for up to three seats, Visible's founder Starter plan is free with updates to 100 investors, and Happenstance is free with the free plan being the whole product. Decile Hub doesn't publish a price at all and gates access behind an application.

What does Happenstance do for a venture investor?

It is search over your own network: connect seven accounts and ask who you know at a company, who can introduce you to a founder, or which of your connections have raised recently. A fund's system of record, Affinity or 4Degrees, runs the pipeline, the enrichment and the LP side; Happenstance is the search layer beside it. 500,000+ people use it, and email is read as headers only.

What should a solo GP or an emerging manager use?

A published price and a free tier matter more than firm-wide capture when the firm is one person. Attio at free for three seats, or $35 per user per month billed annually, covers the pipeline. Decile Hub covers fund operations but publishes nothing and admits by application. Happenstance covers the network question free, and a group lets you pool with your scouts without paying per person.

What should a founder use to manage investors?

Visible, which is built for exactly that: its founder Starter plan is free and sends monthly updates to 100 investors with KPI dashboards, two pitch decks and two pipelines, and Base is $59 a month billed annually, $69 month to month. Note that Visible publishes founder prices and routes every investor-side plan to a contact form. Happenstance is the free way to find the warm path to a fund before the update list exists.

Can a whole partnership search one network?

Yes, in a Happenstance group. Each partner connects their own accounts, the group is searchable as one network, and the answer to "who do we know at this company?" shows which partner holds the relationship. Groups are free and unlimited, membership is by invitation, and sharing is mutual. The largest groups make 380,000+ people searchable.

What they cost

How much does Affinity cost?

Essential is $2,000, Scale $2,300 and Advanced $2,700 per user per year, billed annually, with no free tier and no self-serve signup. That's the only per-seat number published by any of the three systems of record in this category.

How much does 4Degrees cost?

Not published as a number. Its pricing page says 4Degrees charges on a per-user per-month model and that the exact price depends on factors specific to your organization, so you have to get in touch.

How much does DealCloud cost?

Not published. DealCloud is now Intapp DealCloud, dealcloud.com redirects to intapp.com, and neither domain carries a pricing page. Every route in is a demo request.
