Reports a graphene/indium selenide heterostructure with a highly tunable Nernst effect, demonstrating record-high Nernst coefficients at ultralow temperatures and suggesting applications in quantum thermal management.

Demonstrates that out-of-plane tunnelling photocurrents can be used to detect the Fermi level reaching the valence-band edge in few-layer InSe and to probe van Hove singularities electrically.
