June 15, 2024A debut novel (published June 15, 2024 by Northwestern University Press/Curbstone) that is a dark, lyrical blend of historical fiction and magical realism. Set in 1915 Atlanta, it examines a critically underexplored event in American history through the eyes of a group of just-fourteen-year-old Jewish girls who become obsessed with the murder of a factory girl and the subsequent trial and lynching of Leo Frank, leading them to create a golem.
Blinder
A second novel, tentatively titled 'Blinder', which is a radical feminist adaptation of the Medusa myth inspired by popular protest movements. She worked on completing a first draft during her MacDowell residency.
