Caren Furtado is transitioning from a career as an educator to a leadership role in alumni relations. She will become the Director of Alumni Relations at The Harker School in 2025, following a tenure as a High School Math Teacher at the same institution from 2022-2025. Caren has a diverse professional background, encompassing roles in human resources, SAP consulting, and entrepreneurship before entering the field of education. She co-founded Culture Slice and worked as an SAP Consultant for Sage Group, demonstrating a blend of business acumen and technical skills.

Her educational journey reflects a strong commitment to teaching and continuous learning, with a Masters' in Teaching and Primary Teaching Credential in Mathematics from San Jose State University, and additional studies in Chemistry, Education, and Physics. This broad academic foundation supports her roles as a versatile educator.

Caren has experience teaching across various age groups, from Fifth Grade at Challenger School Foundation to Middle School Math and Science at Challenger School, and High School Math at Alpha Cindy Avitia High School and The Harker School. This extensive teaching experience underscores her dedication to student development.
