About
I received an MSc in international history from the London School of Economics and a BA in public policy from the University of Michigan's Gerald R. Ford School of Public Policy. Experiences on the Hill, with the US Department of State's Mission to the OSCE, and with two humanitarian nonprofits have allowed me to hone my research, writing, and project management skills across a range of policy contexts. As a former professional ballet dancer, I'm always brainstorming, asking big questions, and seeking creative expression. I thrive in collaborative environments in which I can do my work while learning from and dialoguing with other creative, curious, and empathic minds. Highlights of previous work, internship, and academic experience include: • Brilliant distinction on LSE graduate thesis for originality and depth of research and analysis • Jr. Research Fellow with Refugees International's Climate Displacement Program, Washington, DC • Internship with CARE USA's Government Relations team, Washington, DC • Internship in the US State Department's Mission to the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE), Vienna, Austria • Internship in the Office of Senator Gary C. Peters, Washington, DC • European Union study abroad program in Amsterdam and Brussels • Environmental Sustainability Global Engagement Seminar in Costa Rica through Gerald R. Ford School of Public Policy • Extensive travel (Russia, Oman, Canada, and throughout the US) in prior career as a professional ballet dancer • Nominated for Princess Grace Award by Suzanne Farrell, legendary ballerina of the New York City Ballet Specialties: policy writing, research, data analysis, editing, project management Interests: intersections of climate change and human mobility; climate change adaptation; climate policy; immigration policy; refugee issues Strengths Quest Top Five: Empathy, Input, Intellection, Achiever, Harmony
