Costantino Lisi

I am a third-year Bachelor's student at ESCP Business School. The youngest of three brothers, my family has always been a source of inspiration and taught me to be ambitious, curious, and have a vision. Ambition brings me outside of my comfort zone. It has helped me decide whether to spend the fourth year of high school in my mother country or rather embark on the unique adventure of a year abroad. Regardless of everything that happened in 2020, Covid-19 disrupted everyone's plan. I refused to give up on my dream and eventually flew to Ireland, where I graduated in July 2021 with the Irish High School Diploma, the Leaving Certificate. This experience has broadened my horizons and taught me the importance of being adaptable, open-minded, and speaking multiple languages: all reasons that would have eventually driven me to choose ESCP Bachelor in Management as the next step of my journey. Curiosity summarizes well my constant feeling toward the world. I have always been eager to learn and find new passions such as politics, sustainability, and innovation. In this sense, Alec Ross's book "The Industries of the Future" truly opened my mind to how cybersecurity, big data, and robotics have contributed to reshaping our society. In April 2022, I was awarded a scholarship to MasterZ, a business-oriented course aimed at providing young generations with a 360° knowledge of blockchain. Since then, what had first begun as a pure interest in financial markets and cryptocurrencies has become a fascination with such a limitless, disruptive technology. My long-term vision helps me understand where I want to be in a 5-10 year time horizon, and ensures that I have a comprehensive view of what I need to accomplish. I must admit that my experience at De Vita Beata had pushed me toward the Event organization sector - first, at Riva Degli Etruschi, then at ENIC Meetings & Events Srl- and despite the skills and professional experience I have been able to gain throughout, working in this industry has made me lose sight of what matters to me. I am much more ambitious than the person I was, and my goals as well. As previously mentioned, my sphere of interests touch disruptive innovation (Blockchain, AI & Machine Learning, Smart Cities), sustainable development (Clean Tech), and politics (EU institutions). I am conscious that through extensive knowledge, unconditioned passion, and dedication, I will make a meaningful, positive impact out of them.
